Alissa Ward
Workshop Focus: Mid-Range Glazing, Underglazes, Surface Design, Glaze Layering, Hand Building, K–12 Ceramics, Beginner Friendly
Alissa is an art teacher with 25 years of classroom experience, including the past 10 years dedicated exclusively to ceramics. She is passionate about helping teachers build confidence with clay by sharing techniques that are approachable, engaging, and easy to implement in the classroom. She believes clay teaches more than artistic skills. Her students continually inspire her with their creativity while reminding her that patience and perseverance are often the most valuable lessons learned in the studio.
Cory Brown
Workshop Focus: Mid-Range Glazing, Glaze Layering, Beginner and Advanced Friendly
Cory is an Advanced Glaze Designer at AMACO who combines product development with hands-on teaching to help ceramic artists get the most from their glazes. He loves helping makers understand how glazes behave. Cory also enjoys those exciting “aha!” moments when layering, firing, and glaze interactions begin to click.
Jennifer Hoolihan

Jennifer is a studio educator with more than 30 years of experience working with clay. She loves helping makers discover new ways to explore AMACO glazes and sharing the excitement of opening a kiln. Whether teaching in a community studio, art guild, or retirement community, Jennifer finds joy in making creativity through ceramics accessible to everyone.
Kathy Skaggs

Kathy is an AMACO Ceramic Educator and former classroom teacher with more than 30 years of experience in art education. Her education includes an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Florida and an MAE from the Rhode Island School of Design. Kathy loves finding creative ways to make ceramics accessible, engaging, and rewarding for makers of all backgrounds.
Kourtney Stone

Kourtney is an artist and educator with more than 18 years of experience working with learners in schools, universities, art centers, and community settings. She believes art education can be transformative and enjoys creating opportunities for others to explore, experiment, and discover their own creative potential.
Kristin Grandy

Kristin is an educator who finds endless inspiration in her students. She loves designing engaging clay experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage learners to try something new. For Kristin, the best part of teaching is watching ideas take shape and seeing students become excited about where their creativity can take them.
Kyleigh Gribble

Kyleigh is AMACO’s Education & Show Coordinator and has been working with clay for nearly a decade. She loves helping new makers experience those exciting “aha!” moments when techniques click and confidence begins to grow. Whether she's sharing glaze combinations or talking ceramics, Kyleigh enjoys making clay approachable, inspiring, and fun for everyone.
Lisa Di Stefano

Lisa is a pottery studio manager and wheel instructor with more than 20 years of experience working with clay. She loves helping students build confidence at the wheel and believes that repetition teaches patience alongside technique. Her favorite moments are watching students experience those hard-earned breakthroughs and discover just how much they’re capable of creating.
Zoe Hall

Zoe is an AMACO Ceramic Educator with more than 12 years of experience working with clay. She loves helping makers build confidence through hands-on learning as they explore new possibilities with glazes and ceramic techniques. Zoe finds inspiration in helping students experiment, discover their own creative voice, and see where a little curiosity can take their work.
